Since its foundation in April 2020, the business has rapidly grown from one consultant to six and already boasts an impressive list of SME clients in the marketing, digital and technology sectors.
With a remote working approach, Facets provides business development expertise to clients by heading up their commercial teams on a part-time basis.
Guy explains: “The majority of our clients are small businesses who all want to grow but often have scarce resource to afford a full-time head of sales or commercial lead. By working with us, they gain the services of a highly experienced commercial director on a flexible, part-time basis to suit individual business needs and budget requirements.”
“We started as part-time sales directors but now provide a combination of sales, partnerships, marketing and client development, delivering everything a full-time commercial team would, but without the £100k-plus a year investment. This enables our clients to gain an experienced business development team who are truly part of their business.”
A case in point is Facets’ client Captivate Influence, a social and influencer marketing agency who were recently appointed by tights brand Snag Group to lead its digital marketing activities. The win, which was Captivate’s biggest to date, was negotiated by Guy and his team.
Facets’ growing list of clients includes: Square Owl, Diginius, Smile Reader, Aero Commerce, The Digital Gene, Remote Star, Laracle, Juicy Media, Studio LWD, Ingenious App Studios, Cowshed Social, Foundation Commerce and Limely.
Guy said: “It felt the natural step starting my own business during these uncertain times as our business model caters for it, but I have been amazed at how quickly we have grown, and I can’t wait to see where we go from here. I am a firm believer in building relationships with prospects through partnerships and collaboration and whilst they might not be ready to become a client right now, in 3, 6, or 12 months down the line they will be.”
So far, it seems to be working!
