Pocklington Pixies Cricket Club 2021 Fixtures and Tour Dates Announced

Event News

Throughout the past year, there is no doubt our worlds have been turned upside down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time, many events in the OP calendar have sadly had to be cancelled or postponed, including last year’s Pixies’ cricket season.  However, as we approach the summer with renewed hope for a more normal future, the Pocklington Pixies Cricket Club are delighted to announce plans for the Pocklington Pixies Cricket Club 2021 fixtures and tour dates. Full details are confirmed but may be subject to change according to government guidance in the coming months. It is an opportunity to get the dates in the diary and look forward to amongst other things, a summer of sport, friendship and good cricket.

For the forthcoming season, we have a new fixture on the card against the Cheshire Gentlemen and we plan to enter the Golden Oldies World Cricket Festival. This is for players aged over 35 years and takes place in the Harrogate and Nidderdale area from 22-29 August. It involves three fixtures as well as optional social events. There is also the usual tour in August with excellent accommodation booked at The Bear Inn, Burwash, priced at a very reasonable rate per night.  This, plus mini bus transport from Pocklington does make the week (or part of, if you are only joining us for part of the tour) financially viable.

Pixies Secretary, Charlie Lambert (01-08) is pleased to announce the tour and fixture dates for 2021 as follows:
