OPs 251 - 7 off 40 overs (Harry Falkingham 3 - 23)
Pocklington 1st XI 172 all out (Ollie Rook 64, George Moorhouse 20)
It was fantastic to welcome so many recent leavers back for the annual OP cricket match which provided much entertainment throughout the day for players and spectators alike.
A masterclass of perfect clean hitting by Harry Jackson (15-22) who completed his century in 43 balls, ultimately took the total out of reach of the School. Having survived several "chances" early in his innings he made the boys pay dearly and dominated the attack throughout.
In reply, School captain, Ollie Rook compiled a powerful 64 before being dismissed by an outstanding catch by Harry Matthews (15-20) which ultimately ended any hopes of the School chasing the total down.
It was a wonderful game, played in great spirit across both teams under beautiful blue skies – we shall look forward to the return fixture next year.
