The 13th Annual Pocklingtonian Golf Day returned to the KP Club on Sunday 14 June, bringing together OPs, parents and friends for another enjoyable day of competition, camaraderie and sunshine on one of East Yorkshire's finest courses.

With the weather set fair, eight teams teed off in pursuit of the President's Cup, competing in a Stableford format with the best two scores to count. Following bacon butties and the distribution of scorecards, golfers headed onto the course for an afternoon of friendly rivalry.

A welcome halfway-house stop provided sausage rolls and tray bakes, giving players the chance to recharge before tackling the closing holes. As always, the event proved to be about much more than golf, offering a fantastic opportunity for old friends to catch up and new connections to be made.

After the round, participants gathered for a well-earned two-course supper before the eagerly anticipated prize presentation. Once again, The Bandits proved the team to beat, securing the President's Cup for a remarkable third consecutive year with an incredible total of 87 points!

The winning quartet of Gerald Fenton, Luke Fenton, Charles Fenton and Andy Smith finished ahead of Tiger Wood's Driving School on 80 points and Awesome Foursome on 79 points.

Individual honours also went to Tony Atkin (POPs), who claimed Nearest the Pin on the 17th hole, while Jack Remblance enjoyed a superb day, taking both Nearest the Pin in Two on the 13th and the Longest Drive prize on the 18th.

OP President Charlie Lambert thanked everyone for supporting the event.
