Richard Staniford (94-04) has relocated from London to the North-East to head up the Land Department for leading homebuilder, Homes by Esh.
Based at ESH Group Headquarters in County Durham, Richard will generate new opportunities for the firm to grow its brand of contemporary, residential housing to new areas of the region. His appointment comes at a pivotal time in the housing market with impending changes to the Help to Buy scheme and the current stamp duty holiday contributing to strong demand across all levels of new homes.
Richard commented: “As a quality-led homebuilder, Homes by Esh was exactly the type of ambitious team I was looking to work with to help develop their presence into new areas of the region.”
Following his time at Pocklington School, Richard went on to study Real Estate Development at Sheffield Hallam University. Prior to taking up his new role, he spent 15 years working in the property sector in the South of England in a variety of roles for multinational companies and private developers.
