This year’s annual Pocklington v Hymers 1st XV match takes place at Pocklington on Saturday 5 November when both sides will play for The Presidents’ Cup. Introduced last year at the inaugural event hosted and won by Hymers, both teams will be keen to claim the Cup in what is always an entertaining and highly competitive local derby match between the two schools.  

To help support the boys, we would like to invite OPs and former parents to come back to school to watch the match. There will also be the opportunity to stay for lunch hosted by the Headmaster and the OP President who will be joined by current and former sports staff and teachers. The OP President will present the cup to the winning side and after lunch there will be an optional school tour for any OPs or former parents who would like one. 

Lunch is £15.00 per person (£10.00 per person for university students) and includes pre-match tea/coffee and bacon butties in the Pavilion on arrival followed by a post-match beer/wine/soft drink and a two-course lunch with a glass of wine. 

Tables can be organised for OP year groups, sports teams and families so you are seated together making it a great occasion for a reunion or that long-overdue catch-up you promised…!
