Event description
Tickets are now on sale for one of the Pocklington Pixies’ occasional dinners and we are delighted to announce that our guest speaker will be former Durham and Middlesex bowler Simon Hughes.
Simon played 205 First Class matches and claimed 466 wickets. Since retiring, he has forged a successful career in the media, writing for The Daily Telegraph and The Independent as well as being a reporter for the BBC.
Simon is probably best known in his role as The Analyst during Channel 4’s cricket coverage. He is also an author having written several books including the autobiographical ‘A Whole Lot of Yakka’, which won the William Hill Sports Book of the Year in 1997.
Simon follows in a tradition of some celebrated speakers at Pockington Pixies dinners.
Tickets for the evening cost £30.00 per person and include a three-course dinner plus coffee.
We hope you will support this event as a friend and supporter of the Pixies. Numbers are limited so you are advised to book early.
